About

Cleveland Artist Ingrid Hoegner

Since I was very young, art has been a significant part of my life. I credit my passion for creativity to my incredibly talented mother, a self-taught and highly successful illustrator, and my beloved father, who started his career as a fashion illustrator and later found great success in advertising. Their dedication and hard work have always been a great source of inspiration for me. Not only did they instill in me a strong work ethic, but they also provided me with the tools and knowledge to develop my artistic abilities, such as art supplies and books on art history. Expressing myself through drawing and painting brings me immense joy, and it has become an essential part of who I am.

Cleveland Oil Painter Inspired by Ohio City

Ingrid Hoegner is a Cleveland-based oil painter known for her bold, expressive paintings inspired by Ohio City and the iconic West Side Market. Her work captures the architectural character, vibrant storefronts, and unmistakable energy of Cleveland’s west side through layered texture and confident brushwork.

Having lived in Ohio City for many years, Ingrid developed a deep connection to its streets, historic buildings, and creative community. That connection continues to influence her original oil paintings, which celebrate the color, movement, and spirit of one of Cleveland’s most beloved neighborhoods.

West Side Market

One of Ingrid’s most recognized subjects is the historic West Side Market. Through vibrant color palettes and expressive brushstrokes, she brings this Cleveland landmark to life in original oil paintings that resonate with collectors, former residents, and local art lovers alike.

Her West Side Market paintings reflect both nostalgia and contemporary energy — capturing a space that has defined Cleveland culture for more than a century.

Screw Factory Artist

Ingrid works from her studio at the Screw Factory in Lakewood, Ohio — a historic industrial building that now houses a thriving community of artists. The studio environment allows her to work on both intimate pieces and large-scale oil paintings, continuing to explore Cleveland’s architecture and urban landscape through color, texture, and movement.
